How to import .nk2 files into Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, and Outlook 2016

Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 and earlier versions store the AutoComplete list in an nickname (.nk2) file on the disk. Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, and Outlook 2016 store the AutoComplete list as a hidden message in your primary message store. Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, and Outlook 2016 let you import the older .nk2 files.

For more information about how to import .nk2 files in Outlook 2010, go to the following Microsoft website:

How to copy the AutoComplete list

The steps to export and import the AutoComplete list are different, depending on the version of Outlook that you are using.
Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, and Outlook 2016
To copy the AutoComplete list in Outlook 2010, Outlook 2013, and Outlook 2016, follow these steps:

Step 1

To export the AutoComplete mailbox message, follow these steps:

Issues with the AutoComplete cache

This section describes known issues that can occur with the AutoComplete cache. The AutoComplete cache can become corrupted over time and may not save new entries. If this happens, you can try to remove individual entries from the list. To do this, see the section titled "How to remove AutoComplete list entries one at a time." If that does not resolve the issue, the whole AutoComplete list can be reset. To do this, see the section titled "How to clear the whole AutoComplete list."

How to change the limit for the AutoComplete list

Because this configuration is untested, we do not recommend it. If you have a larger AutoComplete list, you could also lose a larger number of cached entries if your AutoComplete cache becomes unusable because of corruption. Given this disclaimer, you can use the following registry data to increase the AutoComplete list limit in Outlook.

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

322756 How to back up and restore the registry in Windows
  1. Exit Outlook.
  2. Start Registry Editor.
    • In Windows 8.x, press the Windows key, type regedit and then press Enter.
    • In Windows 7 and Windows Vista, click Start, type regedit in the Start Search box, and then press Enter.
  3. Locate and then select the following registry subkey:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\x.0\Outlook\AutoNameCheck

Note The placeholder x.0 in this registry subkey represents your version of Microsoft Office. Use the appropriate value from the following list.

    Outlook 2016 = 16.0
    Outlook 2013 = 15.0
    Outlook 2010 = 14.0
    Outlook 2007 = 12.0
    Outlook 2003 = 11.0
  4. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD value.
  5. Type MaxNickNames, and then press Enter.
  6. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
  7. Type the new value for the limit, and then click OK.

    Notes
    • Make sure that you type the number in decimal form. That is the correct form in which to type the number.
    • Try increasing the limit by only a marginal amount to test the new limit. For example, to create a 20 percent increase in the limit in Outlook 2013, you would specify 1200 for the MaxNickNames value.
  8. Exit Registry Editor.
  9. Start Outlook.
Note The MaxNickNames registry value merely specifies the nondefault limit. Therefore, you can also use this value to lower the limit of the nickname cache.

How to uninstall ESET NOD32 with password

How to uninstall ESET NOD32 with password

Please note:
If you need help or want to buy ESET NOD32 antivirus or other antiviruses, please contact http://www.incoreporation.com or call 1-888-901-7969 . We also offer managed security and managed antivirus.

ESET NOD32 is one of our favorite antivirus since a long time. When you need to uninstall nod32 but realize you do not have the nod32 antivirus admin password, you have a few options to solve this problem.

As you might already know if you are here, an administrator can set a password to the nod32 antivirus to prevent tampering with the antivirus settings or even a virus to attack the antivirus. So if you don't know the password and the admin is not around anymore or doesn't remember it, ESET  offers a password recovery process, or some way to bypass the password prompt, but it can be pretty annoying because they're asking for all the information that you probable don't have anymore... So then what? We still need that antivirus off that machine!

ESET NOD32 offers this solution to uninstall the antivirus with a password:

According to their knowledge base found at http://support.eset.com/kb2289/?&page=content&id=SOLN2289

How do I manually uninstall my Windows ESET product?

Make sure you follow the process according to your operating system. Here's an example for Windows 10.

Windows 10

Back up network adapter settings

After using the ESET Uninstaller Tool, you may be required to reinstall your network adapter drivers. Follow the steps below to back up your network adapter settings and restore them after uninstallation is finished:
  1. Before running the Uninstaller Tool: Open an administrative command prompt (Right-click the Start icon, select Command Prompt (Admin) from the context menu and click Yes at the prompt) and enter the following command to back up your network adapter settings:
    • netsh -c interface dump > c:\NetworkSettings.txt

  2. After uninstallation is complete: Reinstall your network adapter drivers if necessary and then open an administrative command prompt and enter the following command to restore your network adapter settings:
    • netsh -f C:\NetworkSettings.txt
  1. Download the ESET Uninstaller and save it to your Desktop.

  2. Uninstall the Epfw NDIS LightWeight Filter:
    1. Press the Windows key + r to open a Run dialog, type ncpa.cpl into the blank field and then click OK.

    2. Right-click your network adapter (select Wireless network connection) and select Properties from the drop-down menu.

    3. Select Epfw NDIS LightWeight Filter and click Uninstall. Click Yes at the prompt, uninstallation may take several minutes.
Figure 3-1
  1. Restart your computer in Safe Mode.

  2. Right-click the Start icon, select Command Prompt (Admin) from the context menu and click Yes at the prompt.
Figure 3-2
  1. In the command prompt window type cd Desktop and press Enter.
    • In some cases, the ESET Uninstaller utility will need to be launched by typing ESETUninstaller.exe /reinst into the command line and pressing Enter. The ESET Uninstaller utility will prompt you if the above switch is necessary.
    • If you are prompted to use the ESETUninstaller.exe /reinst command, your Network Interface Card settings will be reset. We recommend that you record your network settings somewhere so that you can easily reconfigure them after running the uninstaller tool.

Advanced user commands: (To view a full list of available commands for the ESET Uninstaller, type ESETUninstaller.exe /help or click to view a screenshot):

    • If you are removing ESET products from bootable media, you will be asked whether you want to remove ESET files from each available partition separately.
    • The /mode=offline parameter specifies the uninstallation mode for CD and USB drives.
    • The /mode=online parameter specifies hard disks. Very rarely, you may need to use the /mode=online parameter to force the ESET product file deletions if the ESET Uninstaller does not detect your bootable media automatically.
    • To remove all present ESET products and components (including ERA components) without being prompted, run the uninstaller with the /force parameter.

  2. Read the warning and type y to confirm.
    Figure 3-3
  1. Review the item(s) listed under Installed ESET products, type the number that corresponds to the ESET installation in this list that you want to remove and then press Enter.
    Figure 3-4
  1. Verify that you are uninstalling the correct ESET product from the correct operating system and type y to confirm.
    Figure 3-5
  1. Once the ESET Uninstaller tool is finished running, press any key to exit and then restart your computer in Normal Mode.
    • The uninstaller writes a log of all its processes to the ~ESETUninstaller.log file (located in the same folder as the ESETUnistaller.exe file) for future reference.
    Figure 3-6
  1. Click the link below that corresponds to your ESET product for help with reinstallation. If you continue to experience issues with reinstallation, delete the ehdrv driver using device manager and then repeat the steps above to run the ESET Uninstaller application again. Because ESET is designed as a security application, in some instances multiple attempts are required to uninstall the product completely.

Please note:
If you need help or want to buy ESET NOD32 antivirus or another antivirus, please contact http://www.incoreporation.com or call 1-888-901-7969 . We also offer managed security and managed antivirus.

How to uninstall LogMeIn from Mac

How to uninstall LogMeIn from Mac?
A reminder to myself, according to a Logmein.com Article "How do i uninstall LogMeIn for Mac manually?"

Although LogMeIn offers the best remote software out there in my opinion, you still need to uninstall it from time to time. I've tested this method many times (using a LogMeIn uninstaller script) removing all LogMeIn components from Mac and it works perfectly, quick and easy:

Open the Terminal from /Applications/Utilities
Run sudo /Library/Application\ Support/LogMeIn/uninstaller.sh
Enter your admin password. The script removes all LogMeIn components.

At this point i would "Move to Trash" the remaining /Applications/LogMeIn Client

Otherwise, there's alternative instructions:

Stop the LogMeIn process
Open the Terminal from /Applications/Utilities
Type the following command: /Library/Application Support/LogMeIn/bin/LogMeIn.app/Contents/Helpers/logmeinserverctrl stop
If the icon in the taskbar is still displayed, run the following commands in sequence:

/bin/launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.logmein.logmeinserver.plist 2>/dev/null euid:0 uid:0
/bin/launchctl bsexec 68 chroot -u 501 -g 20 / /bin/launchctl unload -S Aqua /Library/LaunchAgents/com.logmein.logmeingui.plist 2>&1 euid:0 uid:0
/bin/launchctl bsexec 68 chroot -u 501 -g 20 / /bin/launchctl unload -S Aqua /Library/LaunchAgents/com.logmein.logmeinguiagent.plist 2>&1 euid:0 uid:0
/bin/launchctl unload -S LoginWindow /Library/LaunchAgents/com.logmein.logmeinguiagentatlogin.plist 2>/dev/null euid:0 uid:0

Remove LogMeIn files

Remove the following LogMeIn components from your Mac.

Application folder

/Library/Application Support/LogMeIn/
Remote Sound driver extension
/Library/Application Support/LogMeIn/drivers/LogMeInSoundDriver*.kext
/System/Library/Extensions/LogMeInSoundDriver*.kext
LMI Printer files
/Library/Printers/LogMeIn/LogMeInPrinter.bundle
LMI Daemon and Agent files
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.logmein.*
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.logmein.*

Restart your computer
