How to uninstall LogMeIn from Mac
How to uninstall LogMeIn from Mac?
A reminder to myself, according to a Logmein.com Article "How do i uninstall LogMeIn for Mac manually?"
Although LogMeIn offers the best remote software out there in my opinion, you still need to uninstall it from time to time. I've tested this method many times (using a LogMeIn uninstaller script) removing all LogMeIn components from Mac and it works perfectly, quick and easy:
Open the Terminal from /Applications/Utilities
Run sudo /Library/Application\ Support/LogMeIn/uninstaller.sh
Enter your admin password. The script removes all LogMeIn components.
At this point i would "Move to Trash" the remaining /Applications/LogMeIn Client
Otherwise, there's alternative instructions:
Stop the LogMeIn process
Open the Terminal from /Applications/Utilities
Type the following command: /Library/Application Support/LogMeIn/bin/LogMeIn.app/Contents/Helpers/logmeinserverctrl stop
If the icon in the taskbar is still displayed, run the following commands in sequence:
/bin/launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.logmein.logmeinserver.plist 2>/dev/null euid:0 uid:0
/bin/launchctl bsexec 68 chroot -u 501 -g 20 / /bin/launchctl unload -S Aqua /Library/LaunchAgents/com.logmein.logmeingui.plist 2>&1 euid:0 uid:0
/bin/launchctl bsexec 68 chroot -u 501 -g 20 / /bin/launchctl unload -S Aqua /Library/LaunchAgents/com.logmein.logmeinguiagent.plist 2>&1 euid:0 uid:0
/bin/launchctl unload -S LoginWindow /Library/LaunchAgents/com.logmein.logmeinguiagentatlogin.plist 2>/dev/null euid:0 uid:0
