- Open Control Panel > Programs and Features, click to select Office program, click Change > Repair. After repairing Office, check if the issue can be fixed.
- Create a new user account on Windows, then sign in with new account for Windows, then check if the issue can be reproduced in new user account.
- If there is no issue in new user account, sign in back with the original account. Then open Registry Editor.
- Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office, rename the 16.0 to 16.0-old. (If you are using Office 2013, rename 15.0, Office 2010 for 14.0). Refresh the keys.
- Restart Excel, a new 16.0 key will be created automatically. Check if the issue can be fixed.
